Chicago area and international filmmakers took the top prizes at the 10th annual Elgin Short Film Festival held Saturday, September 22, 2018 at The Hemmens Cultural Center.
Congratulations to the 2018 Festival winners:
1st Place & $1,000: “Margaret and the Moon”
2nd Place & $500: “The Last Dance”
3rd Place & $300: “Bob and Edgar”
Once again the Elgin Short Film Festival drew a large audience who arrived early to enjoy the red carpet reception and entertainment. The fabulous and always witty Mike Toomey, a regular performer on the WGN Morning News, brought his comedic talents as Master of Ceremonies. Chamber Music on the Fox also returned to the festival to present a live chamber performance.
